Ohio Bleeding Disorders Council 2018 Statehouse Day

Please join other bleeding disorder patients, caregivers, health care providers and chapter staff, as we walk the halls of the statehouse in Columbus to educate the legislators on the needs of the community. Share your personal story to be sure that Ohio continues to provide access to comprehensive care for bleeding disorder patients.

Tuesday evening, an issues training with details of Statehouse Day will be held at the The Columbus Sheraton Hotel at Capitol Square, 75 E State Street over dinner. Travel reimbursement and overnight accommodations will be available. Space is limited for overnight hotel stay. Priority will be given to those who will be traveling the greatest distances and first-time attendees.

Wednesday legislative appointments will be made from 10:00 am – 3:00 pm, however some offices may request earlier or later times, so please be sure to note special requests on your registration form. We will also have a legislative luncheon at noon at the Sheraton. We may have a short presentation from a guest speaker and after the presentation, you may be asked to host a table to share your story with legislators that may not have a constituent visiting their offices. Please bring plenty of family pictures to share with our guests!

THE REGISTRATION DEADLINE IS FRIDAY, MARCH 2nd for Hotel Rooms and Personal Legislative Appointments. You can still register to attend after the deadline, however there is a possibility that personal legislative appointments or hotel reservations will not be made for you. If you are a first time attendee, you will be contacted within 3 business days after registering to make sure you are comfortable with the details of the event.
